Rompecabezas is an intimate spectacle of three circus artists and one dancer where success hangs by a thread. The name comes from the spanish word for a puzzle or a headbreaker, which describes the show and its creation.

The show has three parts where circus artists Kalle Lehto, Guillermo Leon and Poppy Plowman and dancer Minna Liimatainen perform versatile circus skills. The artistic team is literally hanging from their hair and from each other to pull through.

Kalle Lehto is an award-winning circus artist, known also for his work as a director for shows Chevalier and Club Carousel. Minna Liimatainen is an outstanding dancer from the Finnish National Opera & Ballet and specialized in hairhanging-acrobatics. Poppy Plowman flies dancing on a tight wire and Guillermo Leon is charismatic master of comedy and juggling.

Sirkus ikään kuin ikään was created for touring elderly service centres in Helsinki. The show was directed by Kalle Lehto and funded by the city of Helsinki as part of the city's initiative to further cultural activities and participation of the elderly people.

The show was created and rehearsed in the summer of 2021 and performed 9 times in elderly service centers in Helsinki. We plan to take the show on the road again in 2022. Even abroad!

Club Carousel is a supercharged circus show/cabaret with live music from electroacoustic techno-collective Drapes 247

The show was directed by Kalle Lehto for cultural center Stoa in Helsinki for 3 performances in the midst of the pandemic in 2020. Show included circus artists Rauli Dahlberg, Mikko Karhu, Sini Saari and Eetu Ranta and acts included trampoline, acrobatic balls, diabolo and vertical rope among others.

​In 2021 the show returned for 4 more performances with new artists, new songs and even higher energy. Circus artists in 2021 included Kalle Lehto, Johan Juslin, Minna Liimatainen and Teemu Skön. The acts and discplines shown included hair hanging, diabolo, juggling, dance, acrobatic balls and trampoline.

Trampoline-wizard Rauli Dahlberg is joined by the award-winning choreographer Jarkko Mandelin, master of live-looping Miro Mantere and visionary light designer Jere Mönkkönen in creating contemporary circus from another dimension.

O'DD is an adventure story of humanity in the guts of gravity. It plays with the laws of physics until they bend and one can break free from their grasp. Through wordless acrobatic movement and object manipulation, the essence of humanity is altered, the individual is cut into layers and imagined anew. This is a new kind of direction for contemporary circus, its future and dreamed reality. O’DD boldly leads us to the transient world of being human.

Urbotek explores life and survival in an alternative shadow world of the modern society. In the midst of dark urban surroundings, mouse-traps and plastic waste, the characters search for personal fulfillment in the most extreme ways.

Urbotek builds hypnotic scenes through acrobatics and repetition, combining suspense, continuous movement and virtuosity. The original music and lighting design creates a multilayered pulse of the city and urban ambience, as the artists excel in their physical raw approach to acrobatics on teeterboard, Cyr-wheel and Washington-trapeze.

Around is a contemporary circus performance created for children about the life of a small circus group, their mutual relations and overcoming difficulties through co-operation.

Arriving with their caravan of hobby-horses the circus transforms an empty stage to a dashing arena during the show, using small pieces to form a great whole, ready for an eye-catching final number.

The circus tools used in the performance are parts of the story and staging is used as performance objects. Through acrobatics, object manipulation and physical theater the circus director and circus princess along with the musicians build a platform for the circus numbers. The bill consists of juggling, acrobatics, hula hoops, soap bubbles, mime, clownery, break-dancing and all this accompanied by live music.

The internationally touring street circus show Motosikai pushes through absurd scenes of skill, action and laughter with unstoppable energy. The three acrobats soar through the sky like superheroes, while you pray for their safe landing.

The show features many of the Race Horse Company’s trademarks of teeterboard and ball acrobatics and so much more! The “less talk, more action!” attitude, twisted humour, endless acrobatic tricks and unfiltered energy has taken the Motosikai crew across Europe and into the hearts of countless festival audiences.

After touring extensively in the UK, Germany and Spain, the show has also been one of the highlights of the 2019 Ansan Street Arts Festival in Korea.

Super Sunday is a true rollercoaster ride of barely controllable chaos. Audiences are at the edge of their seats as the six unrelenting acrobats blaze through scenes of pure mayhem in an amusement park setting that every circus artist dreams of.

Super Sunday is a perfect blend of dark humour, amazing stunts and high-energy action. It's a show that was created as an artist ensemble from the need of dreaming big and going further than one should. Surviving human catapults, trampolines, teeterboard and a wheel of death has never been this fun!

​The show toured in 2014-2019 and has been performed over 170 times across Europe.

A solo contemporary circus performance for children

Circles includes many strange animal characters with whom the performer enagages in motion-based dialogue. The lifeless characters come alive through object manipulation and provide the performer with a co-star for each scene.

Circles - Kommellusten kabaree was the first part of Kalle Lehto's trilogy of children's circus shows. Circles was followed by Around - Ympäri ämpäri (2016) and Chevalier - Keppihevossirkus (2019).

Petit Mal, the first production by the Race Horse Company, is a collaboration with Circo Aereo. The show is a prime example of concrete circus: a combination of the tradition of village fools and performing art, where sweat and bruises embroider the skins of the performers.

The show has no story or plot, and not much sense to speak of. It does not tell a story, but certainly has its fair share of action.

Petit Mal's building blocks are black humour and collisions. The traditional form, poetry and soft movement of contemporary circus are challenged through randomness, dream-like logic and the menace of violence. Petit Mal is a part of our disintegrating culture and world.

The show toured from 2010 to 2014 and was the winner of Best Performance at the 2013 International Theatre and Street Arts Festival in Valladolid, Spain.
