Race Horse Company is seeking participants for its mentorship programme, aimed primarily at circus artists and multidisciplinary practitioners. The mentorship is intended for professionals and for artists graduating into the profession in 2026.
Individual artists or working groups with an ongoing artistic project or a strong performance idea are welcome to apply. The project may be in an early development phase or already underway. The performance concept can be anything: indoors or outdoors, for a theatre or other spaces, site-specific, and thematically open. The premiere is expected to take place no later than 2027.
What does the mentorship offer?
The mentorship is free of charge for the selected participants and is tailored on a case-by-case basis. It may include:
- artistic, directorial, and dramaturgical mentorship
- production support and sparring
- access to rehearsal space and technical resources
- discussions around artistic goals and working methods
- the possibility of a co-production with Race Horse Company
The mentorship and/or artistic guidance is based on the needs of the mentees. The form of collaboration, schedule, and starting date will be agreed individually with the selected participants, provided that the mentorship begins within the current year.

- Selections will be made during February–March
- The start date will be agreed on a case-by-case basis
Applicants may include a CV and other supporting material (e.g. videos, sketches, texts). Please describe your performance idea, working group, and the type of mentorship you are seeking in your application.
